Tuition Assistance

It is the intention of dTHS to award tuition assistance to families who demonstrate financial need. This need is based on the online application submitted through a 3rd party, Smart Aid online application.

  • Step 1: Smart Aid Application

    Priority consideration will be given to families who submit their application by January 9, 2019.

    Please note:
    • Smart Aid de Toledo High School ID #14279
    • The fee for the online application process is paid by credit card at the end of the Smart Aid session as the final step to completing your application.
    • Complete applications will be forwarded to de Toledo High School by Smart Aid. Incomplete applications will cause a delay in the determination of your award.
    • Tuition Assistance applications received after January 9, 2019, will be reviewed in April 2019.
    • Tax returns for 2016 and 2017, along with IRS Form 4506T, are due to Smart Aid no later than January 9, 2019. Tax returns for 2018 are due to Smart Aid no later than April 15, 2019.

  • Step 2: TAC Application Review

    The Tuition Assistance Committee (TAC) reviews all applications. The TAC is comprised of volunteer tax and financial professionals who are not otherwise affiliated with de Toledo High School. All information is held in strict confidence.
  • Step 3: Application Analysis

    The TAC review consists of, but is not limited to, a detailed analysis and verification of all materials submitted. On occasion, the TAC may ask for additional information to assist in determining financial need.
  • Step 4: Notification Letters

    Notification letters will be mailed on Friday, March 8, 2019, to all families who:
    1. have submitted a completed tuition assistance application on or before Wednesday, March 8, 2019;
    2. have provided additional information, if any, requested by the Tuition Assistance Committee;
    3. are current with their financial obligations to de Toledo High School.
All families are required to enroll in the Smart Tuition payment system to process all of your financial commitments with the school. All registration fees are covered by dTHS. Please visit their website in order to complete your registration and set up your payment information.

Once your information is received and processed by Smart Tuition, you will receive a Confirmation Notice. This notice will confirm your payment plan information. Please check this information for accuracy and contact us or with any discrepancies.
