Boys Varsity Basketball & Soccer Advance to the Second Round of the CIF-SS Playoffs
Boys Varsity Basketball wins 66-30 and Boys Varsity Soccer wins 5-2

de Toledo 66 - Garden Street Academy 30 (1st Round)
de Toledo defeated Garden Street Academy, 66-30, to advance to the second round of the Division 5A playoffs. The Jaguars opened the game with a 20-9 lead at the end of the first quarter. They continued to pound the Comets in the third frame, outscoring Garden Street Academy by a game-best 16 points. Liam Evenhaim scored 12 points, including seven points off of turnovers, of which he created three steals. Dylan Esulin tied Evenhaim for the scoring lead by shooting 60% from the field, doing the majority of his work inside the paint. Aidan Waldman checked off all of the boxes, scoring six points, grabbing eight boards, dishing out six assists, and forcing four steals. The Jaguars will play the winner of Friday night’s Mojave/River Springs (Hemet) match.

de Toledo 5 - Newbury Park Adventist 2 (1st Round)
de Toledo defeated Newbury Park Adventist, 5-2, to advance to the second round of the Division 7 playoffs. The Jaguars instantly took command of the game, scoring in the opening minutes. It wasn’t much later that the team garnered a 3-0 lead to scare the Gators. The coaches remarked on the outstanding performance from all of the players and on the rabid fan support watching the boys excel. The team caught fire early on and could not be stopped by Newbury Park Adventist. The Jaguars will look to keep the fire going against Fairmont Prep in the second round in a home game on Monday.
