Medical Science Academy
Marine Biology
This course introduces students to the diverse field of Marine Biology through demonstrations, dissections, and hands-on and interactive activities. Classes are dedicated to topics covering marine microorganisms, invertebrates, vertebrates, adaptations, behavior, ecological principles, and human impact on marine environments. The class includes two field trips; a day to the Malibu intertidal zone, and an optional three-day trip to Monterey Bay. (There is a fee for the optional Monterey field trip.
