Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball celebrate Senior Night

Boys Varsity Basketball (9-8 overall, 3-3 league)

de Toledo 52 - Oakwood 71

de Toledo faced a hot-shooting Oakwood squad that couldn’t seem to miss the cylinder. The Jaguars defeated the same team earlier in the season, but the Gorillas were thrusting up shots from all around the court, seemingly sinking them all. There is no defense that could have stopped the kind of shooting streak Oakwood was on last night. de Toledo fell behind in the first half, as a result, but were able to play Oakwood even in the second half. Dylan Esulin glided by defenders for silky put-ins for 16 points and stole an outstanding eight passes. Liam Evenhaim finished second in scoring on the night for the Jaguars, shooting efficiently from the free throw line for 15 points. Aaron Heisen came off the bench and provided a much needed spark, shooting a perfect 3-for-3 for eight points.

Girls Varsity Basketball (1-18 overall, 0-9 league)

de Toledo 13 - Milken 44

The Jaguars played their last home game of the season against a tenacious Milken team that put pressure on de Toledo from the get-go. de Toledo was able to do some great things on the defensive end of the court, clamping down on the Wildcats, but were unable to create offensively against Milken’s staunch defense. In their final home game of their scholastic career, seniors Lulu Marsh, Sarah Goldstein, and Bella Oransky pushed themselves to end their home career on a high note. Marsh, in particular, was able break through the Milken defense for nine points.

Boys JV Basketball (1-11 overall)

de Toledo 46 - Oakwood 55

Dunn Edri - 12 points
Brandon Fikhman - 10 points
Noah Orshansky - 8 points
