Boys Varsity Basketball defeats AGBU for the second time this season; eyes the postseason

Boys Varsity Basketball (10-8 overall, 4-3 league)

de Toledo 56 - AGBU 42

de Toledo earned their fourth league victory, and second win against AGBU this season, on Wednesday night. Dylan Esulin led the Jaguars in scoring for the second straight game, putting up 16 points while grabbing eight boards. Liam Evenhaim followed Esulin with 15 points, shooting a proficient 8-for-8 from the free throw line. Aidan Waldman kept the pace moving, dishing out six assists to go along with his seven points.

Girls Varsity Basketball (1-19 overall, 0-10 league)

de Toledo 22 - Pacifica Christian 41

The Jaguars finished their season showing the improved play that has been noticeable over the past month. de Toledo did not get the win on the day, but they were converting plays that they did not make earlier in the season. Lulu Marsh scored 82% of de Toledo’s points (18) in her final game of her scholastic career. Marsh mostly struck from driving to the low block, but she also sunk a couple of threes.

Girls Varsity Soccer (6-6-1 overall, 2-5-1 league)

de Toledo 0 - Archer 2

The game was even at the half with both teams fighting hard to claim the lead. It was Archer in the second half, the same team that defeated de Toledo previously by four goals, that got the two scores in the second half to take the win. The Jaguars played their best game of the season against the toughest competition in the league. Tatiana Cait was a major reason for the team’s stellar play, as her effort kept the team in the game.
