Tuition Assistance

It is the intention of dTHS to award tuition assistance to families who demonstrate financial need. This need is based on the online application submitted through a 3rd party program, FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition).

Affording dTHS

Are you curious about de Toledo High School’s Tuition Assistance Program and the application process?  We invite you to join a workshop to hear the answers to the most frequently asked questions, and ask any of your own. FOR PARENTS ONLY of prospective students interested in enrolling at dTHS.  Presented by Debbie Abelson, Director of Enrollment Management.

  • Step 1: Application for 2022-2023 School Year

    Submit an application through FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition).  Priority consideration will be given to families who submit their application by December 20, 2021 (for reennrolling families) and January 13, 2022 (for new families).

    Please note:
    • The fee for the online application process is paid by credit card at the end of the FAST application as the final step to complete and submit.
    • Complete applications will be forwarded to de Toledo High School by FAST.  Incomplete applications will cause a delay in the determination of your award.
    • Tuition Assistance applications received after January 13, 2022, will be reviewed in April 2022.
    The following documents are due to FAST to complete the application:
    • 2019 Federal tax return (Personal and/or Business)
    • 2020 Federal tax return (Personal and/or Business)
    • Bank Statements - Sept/Oct 2020 AND Sept/Oct 2021 (checking, savings, investment accounts)
    • Business Balance Sheet (for business owners or non-W2 employees)
    • Most current unemployment earnings statement (if applicable)
    • 2021 Federal tax return (Personal and/or Business) - due by April 15, 2022

  • Step 2: TAC Application Review

    The Tuition Assistance Committee (TAC) reviews all applications. The TAC is comprised of volunteer tax and financial professionals who are not otherwise affiliated with de Toledo High School. All information is held in strict confidence.
  • Step 3: Application Analysis

    The TAC review consists of, but is not limited to, a detailed analysis and verification of all materials submitted. On occasion, the TAC may ask for additional information to assist in determining financial need.
  • Step 4: Notification

    Tuition assistance decisions and notifications will be available for reenrolling students on February 8, 2022, and for new students on March 11, 2022, to all families who:
    1. have submitted a completed tuition assistance application;
    2. have provided additional information, if any, requested by the Tuition Assistance Committee;
    3. are current with their financial obligations to de Toledo High School.
Once enrolled at dTHS, all families are required to have an account with Smart Tuition as our payment system to process all of your financial commitments with the school.   All registration fees are covered by dTHS.  You will receive a Confirmation Notice from Smart Tuition when your information is received and processed. This notice will confirm your payment plan information.
