Earlier this month, we were humbled and honored to host on the de Toledo campus two very special guests: Amit Shem-Tov and Ilay David, both of whom have brothers (Omer Shem-Tov and Evyatar David, respectively) taken hostage during the horrific attack by Hamas on Israel on October 7th.
Organized in partnership with The Hostage and Missing Families Forum, a volunteer-based nonprofit formed by the families of the abductees held in captivity, this was a unique opportunity for our students to hear powerful personal testimonies from Amit and Ilay, in addition to gaining insights on efforts to raise awareness of the hostages’ plight and the work being done by leading security, law, media, and diplomacy experts to bring ALL THE HOSTAGES back home!
Located in the San Fernando Valley portion of the City of Los Angeles in Northern Los Angeles County. de Toledo High School is accredited by the California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS), the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and Builders of Jewish Education (BJE,) and financially supported by the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and the Jim Joseph Foundation.
