de Toledo, riding a nine-game hot streak entering the tournament, could not be stopped on their way to a championship finish at the Milken Dig Pink Tournament. The top two teams in each pool advanced to the Championship Bracket, and de Toledo did just so by winning outright against Shalhevet and by tying Holy Martyrs and New Roads on sets, but outdoing them on total points scored. The Jaguars claimed their spot and made it known that they were the ones to beat by sweeping through host Milken in three straight sets in the semifinal. de Toledo, feeling close to the top at that moment, knew that they would have to dispatch of one more team, a team that they split the pool play match against in New Roads. Even after dropping the opening set of the final, de Toledo punched back in the second set with a narrow set win before finishing off New Roads in the clinching set.

The Jaguars finished as the runner-up in last year's tournament, but this year, they are tournament champions for the first time in program history. We congratulate the team on their excellent play not only in this tournament, but also in the games leading up to the tournament that have paved the way for a moment such as this. de Toledo now has their eye on an outright league championship before thinking of grander things come playoff time.
