Launching New Partnership with ZipRecruiter

de Toledo High School has launched a new partnership with ZipRecruiter, one of the largest and most successful 21st-century job placement agencies in the world.
This partnership is just one of the many ways we’re focusing on our students’ future success – even after college.

As part of this initiative, ZipRecruiter’s Founder and CEO, Ian Siegel, was on the dTHS campus this past month to work with our seniors both on resume building and on how to develop engaging interview skills suited to the 21st century.

Just a few of the tips Siegel shared with our students during yesterday’s visit included:

*            “Tell a story on your resume.  Stories are 20x easier to remember than facts.”

*            “Interviewers make their decision within 20 seconds, so send the right signals. Smile, make eye contact, offer a firm handshake, and say the interviewer’s name.”

Moving forward, ZipRecruiter will continue to work with our current students on a targeted basis, in addition to developing programs for our alumni who are either preparing to enter the job market or take the next step in their careers.
