Sukkot Celebrations Accentuate Jewish Life at dTHS

At de Toledo High School, students are grounded in Jewish values, texts, and learning (which sharply enhances their analytical and critical thinking skills), while at the same time, encouraged to celebrate Jewish holidays with joy and in a spirit of community and friendship.

During this past week's celebration of the holiday of Sukkot, a palpable sense of happiness and togetherness has animated campus life.  From eating meals under our giant sukkah to communal singing and dancing, this has been a time both students and teachers have cherished together.

"Though I’ve always considered Judaism to be my religion, being here at de Toledo has, maybe for the first time, made me feel like it’s part of my core identity," said student Goldie M. ('26).
