dTHS Medical Science Academy Students Take Cardiovascular System Studies to the Next Level
One of the most unique programs at de Toledo High School is our Medical Science Academy, a three-year specialized course of study encompassing college preparatory academics, lab work, surgery internships, and international medical missions for students interested in pursuing careers in medicine or nursing.
This past week, dTHS Medical Science Academy students took part in an especially memorable, hands-on assignment in their anatomy and physiology classes… the dissecting of real-life sheep hearts!
As part of their study of the cardiovascular system, this was an incredibly powerful opportunity for our students and one we know they’ll take with them into their future research careers.
