Rave Reviews for Mean Girls: The Musical at dTHS!

The six-run performance of Mean Girls: The Musical at dTHS was simply spectacular!

The shows set the per-night attendance record for our school's two-decade Theatre history, thanks in big part to a large and in-charge cast (which alternated between two ensembles). These student performers dove deep into character and braved seasonal illnesses to deliver a staged story in which kindness and self-reflection triumph over superficiality and nastiness. Making it possible for the actors to shine were student crew members and musicians who built and moved, laid down rhythm and harmony, adjusted sound, and shined light with remarkable agility and reliability.

Roars of appreciation go to director Ray Saar and technical director Elisha Schaefer, for guiding the students with inspiration and the value of sweat equity. To Diane Ketchie and Jared Stein for their nimble music direction. To all the faculty and staff who supported and constructed around this entertaining and complex production. And to the family, friends, and faculty who showed up in record numbers to laugh, sing, and applaud.
